A private NHS surgery in Leeds was experiencing growing parking congestion, which frustrated patients and staff. We were hired to implement a structured healthcare car park management system to eliminate unauthorised use, improve space allocation, and enhance safety.

Over several months, the problem escalated due to unauthorised parking by individuals visiting nearby supermarkets and High Street shops. Compounding the issue, many drivers parked outside designated bays, reducing available space and creating serious safety concerns.

The consequence of the above is that patients with the right to use the car park cannot do so, and parking cars in the no-parking area creates a significant safety issue.

Our approach included installing high-quality CCTV cameras to monitor all vehicle movements, providing 24/7 surveillance. An Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system was introduced to track vehicles entering and exiting the car park, ensuring only authorised users could park. All cameras were black to blend seamlessly with the existing infrastructure, maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the premises.

We have provided a comprehensive solution to a previously chaotic parking situation. This initiative ensures that patients can park easily, creating a safer, more efficient parking environment for all.
